A Gentle Spirit

Over the summer I am doing my Journible on Proverbs and going through T.W. Hunt's The Mind of Christ study. As I am being daily confronted with the attributes and character of Christ, I am deeply humbled. Recently we had a list of character traits and beattitudes to choose from and prayerfully pick one that we felt God wanted to work on. My eyes fell heavy on temperance. Temperance is the opposite of self-indulgence. It is self-control. It is control of self when you are in traffic, a conversation with a family member, an altercation with your children. May God make us all more gentle this summer as we release our entitlement and poor attitudes. May we receive a gift only the Spirit can give, self control. What are you asking God to do for you during the next 90 days?
