Astounding God

Image
I am trying to record all of Denbigh's new songs live so that you can hear them. This is such a great song. People keep asking him if he wrote it. His song writing has improved significantly since his last album by the grace of God. (You can also hear a few off-key voices in the background.) For a single dollar you can download this song from iTunes and have it in your digital library. Download it here: Gift it to a friend to encourage them. Denbigh has been in talks with the people at Rock Band to make two of his songs available for the game. This is a really neat opportunity. There are only 2,500 songs that have been accepted for the game and very few of them are Christian. It would be a great opportunity to be seen by non-Christians. Please keep us in prayer as we go through this process.  All of our proceeds go to benefit the ministry of Gomer's House .

A Warfare Anthology by Denbigh Cherry

Last year, I came across a scripture that spoke to me in a very painful time in my life. It seemed a bit obscure. It was not the common topical scriptural antibiotic we apply to pain. It reminded me of a lesson I had learned about God many times during trials in this life. In 2 Chronicles 20:22, God instructs the Israelite forces to praise His name and He turned their opposing armies against each other. Then Israel just stood there staring at their corpses. When we praise God, He defeats our enemy. During a period of deep grief and turning the other cheek, God reminded us to focus on Him and allow Him to take care of the rest. We wrote the words to give those in great despair words to praise with when nothing would come. Revelation 12 tells us that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. This is our testimony of God's goodness in grief. God gave me a poem some time ago that was written by 19th century poet John Greenleaf Whittier. There is a line in it ...

Do You Smell Something Burning?

Photo from Saturday picnic at Driftwood Vineyard with Cosmo and Suzi! Perfect Temperature. Perfect Food. Perfect Company. You can always tell that you are in the center of God's will for your life when you receive confirmation and attack. This week has held both of those things for us. I saw the cord of my Mac go up in flames (that's why I haven't answered your email) and my husband got attacked by a goose on his quiet time retreat to Rustic Ridge Bed and Breakfast. On the confirmation side our house has been a sanctuary to Robert Barge and Cosmo & Suzi Raines. On Saturday we went and partook in a picnic at Driftwood Vineyards. We felt such a peace there. Does anyone have any land that they would like to give us in that area? We will use it refresh the saints. My tough lesson of the week is leaving me a bit devastated. Twice I have been asked to pray along with others about certain situations. Each time I am the only one who hears a "no" from God. Each tim...
